With lots of help from their sisters the girls managed to blow out their candles and make a wish! I wonder what they wished for? Here are some pictures of the girls enjoying cake!

Matt took the opportunity to do a little dancing with Alex (top) and Kate (bottom) while the big girls were at a play date down the street. We will have to compare these photos 20+ years from now! The girls (all of them) love their daddy!

Newcastle and WallE

We took the girls out to the Newcastle Golf club for dinner and went to a movie! It was Lauren's first movie in the theater - WallE and was Samantha's third! We had a lovely time and it was a lovely day! We cannot wait to go as a whole family, but that will be awhile!

Bubbles!

We had the most lovely time out on the sailboat with Auntie Ya Ya! We picked the perfect day to spend time with our big girls and their auntie on "date night" out on Lake Washington. We had such a nice time sailing and working the boat...yummy sandwiches and time to catch up! We did lose Lauren's favorite hat - she just claimed that the moment she lost it - and was distraught but in time she forgot about it! And the girls just loved peeing in the bucket! Soooo funny! Thanks Ya Ya!

Trip to the Dentist

The ladies go to the dentist. Lauren thought it would be best if Samantha went first. Both girls did great and were very very excited to get new toothbrushes!

Swing for two?

Kate and Alex sharing a swing at the park after dinner. Sam was off riding her bike, sans training wheels, and Lauren was sliding down the fire pole! Loving the weather!

Swimming Lessons!

Samantha and Lauren have started their swimming lessons this year with Mr. Agnew. Lauren is on her own - no parent(Ma)/Tot class for her! The girls loved to be back in the water!

Girls open Nana and Joe's gifts

Kate and Alex opened outfits from Nana and Joe! They had fun opening the packages! What cute outfits, thank you! Samantha and Lauren wondered who had all of the Hello Kitty stickers!! and once we figured it out Sam said , "oh that Nana...."!

Trip to the Zoo

Just the big girls.... We have been so focused on the babies and just running our home we have not been to the zoo in a very long time. So, we took Samantha and Lauren to the zoo for a fun outing without....babies! And yes, we stopped at Fat Burger - per the kids request - on the way home for shakes! Light chocolate just like their daddy!

We had a great time and got to see the new flamingo exhibit!

Kate and Alex turn 1 year old!

Happy Birthday! We are so excited that our little girls have turned one years old! They are such little bundles of love and we are so lucky to know them. Alex is up and walking around always smiling and showing off her 8 teeth! Kate is not quite walking yet but enjoys making people laugh, she has quite a sense of humor. They are both keeping us and their big sisters busy. Happy Birthday ladies, we love you!
